In the upcoming March / April edition of Riddim Magazine (Europe’s #1 Reggae Magazine), you will read that David Rodigan has been voted ‘Best International Sound System’ and ‘Best Sound System of the Decade.’

Fans were polled, and voted David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan as their #1, and here’s a video blog of how they came to that decision!

hmm who were the people voting for him?

i hear rodigan is hugely popular over in europe (especially mainland europe) somehow dem believe him is the best sound system in the world with the most dubs etc etc obviously they don't know better. maybe he is the only dj them ever hear or they think a 50+ white man trying to do the cool and deadly is something amazing. me rate him as an elder in the biz but him is one of the most boring and predictable reggae sound.

This sounds a bit much to me....I rate Rodigan but the BEST?...Hold on!!....I guess its due to the way he tours....The dude has bookings coming out of his ears. There is gonna be a huge backlash to this thread but one question all the sound operators will have to ask is "HOW FAR HAVE I TOURED"

well, german people were voting, mainly i guess. he is nr. 1 in the category of "best international sound" year after year, germany just loves rodi, for example check the riddim clashes he won easily, just because he's rodigan and the people know him and give him forwards for just standing on a stage. i think the majority of the riddim readers are quite young and new to the game, for them it's a big thing to see an old white man jumping and screaming "hey, hey". i won't lie the first times i saw rodi it was the same for me.

check the post above, it's an annual poll in the riddim mag, for the end of the decade they made decade categories. people who voted have been mostly german i guess, either riddim readers or people who sent e-mails to participate in it, because there are always some goodies to win.
